Kathy Gillum

Kathy Gillum (while officially retired) currently works with her husband, James, at Gillum and Associates LLC as office administrator.

She is a graduate of Columbia College with a master’s degree in criminal justice administration. She was inspired to get her own degree after proof reading and editing James’ Master’s thesis.

She became interested in working in the field of substance abuse and mental health because of her desire to help those who were reentering from prison. She was a part of the incorporation of Jericho Commission in Springfield MO and in The King’s Food Pantry in Seymour MO.

The road led to drug treatment housing opportunities for those transitioning from in- patient treatment to total self-sufficiency in recovery: she eventually ended up working with Jim in his private practice, Gillum & Associates, LLC, as his Office Administrator.

Jim and Kathy were involved in foster care of teenage boys for several years.

Kathy volunteered at organizations such as Samaritan’s outreach and Turning Leaf in West Plains, MO.

In her free time, Kathy loves quilting, machine embroidery and spending time with family.
