Christa Harmon, MAADCII, MRSS, MPS, MARS

Christa Harmon is a mother of three of whom one suffers from substance use disorder. Upon the discovery of her daughter’s SUD, she became very vocal on the subject. She has been an advocate to stop the stigma that surrounds substance use disorder.

 

Christa joined MCRSP in the position of administrative assistant in December 2021. She formed a non-profit organization, Mid-MO Addiction Awareness Group (MAAG) to raise awareness, increase education and stop the stigma that surrounds substance use disorder. She met the standards and qualifications of a MAADCII, MRSS, MPS, and MARS; as well as becoming certified to teach Seeking Safety an evidence-based treatment for PTSD and substance use.

Christa is a member of the State Advisory Council (SAC), Division of Behavioral Health, Missouri Department of Mental Health. She also serves on the MACA Board of Directors.
