Ruth started her career in the Educational Field moving into the Mental Health/ Substance Use field in 2005.  She obtained her master’s in counseling in 2007 and has been working as a Mental Health Counselor since 2009.  She obtained her Doctorate in Business Administration/Human Resources in 2016.  Ruth finished this process on March 5, 2021.  Since obtaining her counseling licenses she has received her CCDP-D, CCDP-D, and DBA.  She has spoken at many conferences and given several in-services on topics such as Ethics, CBT, Behavior Modification, Group Dynamics, Goal Development, and Tobacco Cessation.   Since obtaining her counseling licenses she has received her CCDP-D and DBA.  In 2019 she opened her own Private Practice located in Rolla, MO called Healing Hearts Counseling, LLC.
